The Importance of Setting Boundaries

It isn't easy to perform at our best when you feel like you are working with and for people who are trying to take advantage of you.

Boundaries are defined as the line between what behavior is tolerable and what is not. The truth is that you do not have to put up with someone tearing you down. There is a line that should not be crossed, yet so many of us are unclear about what those lines are.

Boundaries are the key, and the clearer they are, the more freedom, engagement, and fulfillment you will experience in your work. The fewer clear boundaries you have, the more likely you are to feel openness and creativity replaced by dread and resentment.

I encourage you to take some time today to reflect on your boundaries. Which ones are working for you? Which ones could use a little more clarity?
